Cartoonify and Beautify Apps released for Valentine’s Day.

Los Altos, CA (Feb 8, 2012) – These two new mobile Apps embrace a wide range of photo manipulations from fun, exciting, artistic to romantic. An ideal way to express special thoughts on Valentine’s Day and to keep installed for any occasion. The simultaneous release for iPhone and Android adds an extra level of competition!

Cartoonify 2012 is new and transforms ordinary photos into cartoons with 20 different styles or “looks”.  Start with the signature “Comic” look and progress to “Sin City” which pops out small areas of bright color, or “Pastel” to give a wonderful hand colored effect to portraits.

Beautify has been given a major update that delivers full control over complexion, either to match skin-tones exactly or to play with lightening or tanning effects. It has the same facial attractiveness technology but personalizes the image that you want to project.

Both Apps make it easy to instantly share the results through major social sites including Facebook, Twitter and email. Available now for both iPhone and Android,  the platforms produce identical results but each has some unique features (see “backstory”, below).

How Cartoonify works:

Photos are taken with the camera or selected from album/gallery. Using advanced processing that would take hours of skilled “photoshopping”, a number of classic looks are instantly created.  The starting point is a “Comic” look where the photo is reduced to its simplest outline and shading. A number of must-see examples are posted at the company website and of course at the AppStore/Market.
